Princess in Training by

Mia. Poor Mia. I seriously think that Michael may not be the one for her. And that might be all I'm going to say on the topic (which is most of the book).
I was hoping, really hoping that Mia would turn out to be a good ruler.
And she did! The fact that she was able to do that debate so well considering her social skills, well, I knew right then and there that she would be Genovia's finest ruler yet. I know I would have voted for Mia because of her diplomacy. I mean, her speech was truly moving. I thought that it was a real humdinger. I was clapping on my couch. GO MIA! And that was the best part of the book for me. I mean Mia getting to be school president. This will be the perfect training for queen!
Overall, I felt like Meg did a wise thing in this book. She focused more on Mia being a royal and governor of a country in this book, and kind of stopped most of the developments in Mia and Michael's relationship for now. I feel like that was needed for one book. Just an interval from the ordinary to actually focus on something important: royal responsibility. A read that was different from the rest of the series. And I think that might have been good. As long as the rest of the books aren't as slow... I felt so much empathy for Mia throughout the series. She really leads a tortued life. Don't worry Mia. Things will hopefully smooth out after high school...maybe...
P.S.
I really loved her mental breakdown. Poor Mia. When she saw Grandmere... Meg's description was hilarious.
