This was by far the best book of the series. A lot of action, and not as much boring with intervals of action like the others. I found that rereading the series was not as good as the first time. His writing style is great for a first-time gripper. Not that great the second time around when it doesn't catch you as much. Riordan's literary style is not that great. He often throws in modern and ancient when it doesn't seem to mesh. There was something else I didn't like, but I forgot what it was. Well, this might have been it. Often, the books were boring with a few big action scenes in between. Not that great the second time around. I kind of find myself wondering why I liked it so much in the first place. Don't get me wrong, it was still great. It just lost a lot of the charm.
